What's the Placebo Effect?

If you've heard of placebo effect, this is the body's reaction to something which is not exactly it's intended to be. For example, taking a candy you thought it was aspirin, yet your body reacted to it as if you took an aspirin; or, feeling already better even before the doctor sees you. Another example is feeling better whenever you see a certain doctor instead of another doctor even if they prescribe the same medication. Well, it has something to do with trust and belief versus doubt and fear.

So, when in doubt, do not take any food supplement. It's your right to know what you're taking. Ask the advice of healthcare professionals or make your own research. Read objective articles and reviews about the products, their ingredients, and manufacturers. Research and studies by scientists and health professionals may involve testing the ingredients to animals, but not scientific tests to humans. Though the products were tested safe for human consumption, taking the food supplements is at your own risk and full responsibility. In case of untoward incident, like allergic reactions, seek medical attention at once.

Should we benefit a lot to certain food supplements, good for us! Let's celebrate life!
